The Grafton Centre invited learners and schemes to an afternoon of fabulous cakes and helped to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan are an incredible charity that support people who have been diagnosed with cancer. The company provides practical and emotional support, expert opinions and information. Macmillan are able to continue its great work through the donations they receive throughout the year, with fundraisers organised around the country.

The theme for this year’s Macmillan fundraising event was chosen by CCL learners, who decided it should be ‘Chocolate Bar Themed Cakes’. To the delight of learners, parents and staff a huge variety of cakes were donated and enjoyed on the day. Cakes included amazing chocolate cakes, cupcakes, rainbow cakes and brownies, which were displayed in the decorated Grafton dining hall. The event raised an impressive £255 with any remaining slices of cake donated to The Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported and donated to this event!
