The second dose of the COVID vaccines continue at CCL. Today, Hall Bank Mews were our third scheme to receive their second dose of the COVID vaccine. Jess Hammond, Registered Manager, and her team were very pleased that their residents were able to compete their COVID vaccinations today and look forward to a brighter and freer future.
Our team at CCL have also continued to receive their second dose of the COVID vaccine this week, with 131 now fully vaccinated and the remaining booked in over the next few weeks.
Andrew Harris, Director of Operations said “The vaccine is already preventing deaths and is our route out of this pandemic. We have a duty of care to those most vulnerable to COVID-19 and providing safe care for those we care for is our paramount obligation. It is a professional duty for our staff to receive the vaccine unless there is a medical reason why they should not. Experts are advising that 80% of staff and 90% of residents need to be vaccinated to provide a minimum level of protection against outbreaks of COVID-19. At CCL we are above both those benchmark figures for the first vaccine and are heading for similar with the second vaccine.”
Another positive and more hopeful day at CCL.
