A fantastic night was had by CCL staff as they celebrated at the Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards 2026, held at the ICC Birmingham on 19 June.
The Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards celebrate excellence across the sector and recognise those working to improve opportunities and outcomes for people with learning disabilities and autism.
The awards bring together professionals and organisations from across the social care sector to recognise those making a positive impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. Awards presenter and television personality Peter Andre returned for the third consecutive year to present the awards. During his address, he thanked everyone for attending and recognised the incredible hard work, dedication, and compassion shown by those working across the care sector.
Peter spoke passionately about the importance of celebrating the achievements of care professionals and expressed his gratitude for the difference they make in people’s lives every day. He concluded by reminding those in attendance that they were all winners, saying, ‘You are all winners here tonight – we are simply choosing another winner.’
His heartfelt words were warmly received and reflected the appreciation and respect felt throughout the room for everyone working within the sector.
CCL had finalists in four categories. Condover College was shortlisted for the Employer Award in recognition of its work creating employment opportunities and supporting individuals to achieve their potential. Condover Day Services was a finalist in the Sporting Chance Award category, which recognises the positive impact of sport, physical activity and wellbeing initiatives. Vikki Pryce, Chief Executive of Condover College, was also shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution Award.
The event also highlighted the importance of partnership working. Condover College nominated its partner, Dulson Training, which delivers one of the College’s paid internship programmes for students. Dulson Training was named a finalist in the Employer of People with a Disability Award category, recognising its commitment to inclusive employment and skills development.
Although CCL did not win in its nominated categories, the organisation said being recognised as finalists on a national stage was an achievement in itself and reflected the dedication of its staff and partners.

The awards highlight the dedication, commitment, and professionalism of our staff team, and we could not be prouder of their achievements. In our eyes, all of our finalists are winners, and their hard work and passion are recognised every day.
It was also a great opportunity to meet and network with other organisations from across the country, share experiences, and celebrate the positive impact being made throughout the profession. A great night was had by all who attended.
