Our new purpose‑built Activity Centre officially opened on Monday 8 June 2026, marking a milestone that has been years in the making. After such a long search for the right premises, receiving planning approval in January 2024 felt like a dream come true. But that was only the beginning.
Working closely with Berry’s Consultancy and S J Roberts Construction Ltd, we designed and built a centre that truly reflects our vision for an exceptional environment for the people we support — and we’ve absolutely achieved that.
The building offers generous, accessible spaces where learners can move freely and enjoy a wide variety of activities. Outside, the dedicated activity area provides a safe space to explore and exercise, including the adapted bikes on the cycle path and generally having fun.
And we’re not stopping there. Development of the front outdoor area is already underway, creating a dedicated space for gardening and horticulture, complete with a poly tunnel and potting shed.
Later this year, we will begin redesigning the activity rooms in the hydrotherapy building to introduce a new sensory room and soft‑play area, complementing the existing rebound therapy room.
Oh, and we can’t forget the adapted outdoor sport equipment funded from the Charity Balls that we have held, that will be installed by the end of the month.
This is an incredibly exciting time for Condover College and Condover Day Services. These outstanding facilities represent a long‑held dream realised, and they will undoubtedly transform lives and further enhance the quality of the support we provide.
