We would like to congratulate Kirsty Power on becoming Registered Manager of Hall Bank Mews, CCL’s Pontesbury scheme. After undertaking a fit person interview with CQC, she was appointed Registered Manager under the Health & Social Care Act.

Kirsty is an excellent example of someone who has progressed and grown within the organisation. She started her career at CCL’s Hall Bank Mews scheme as a Support Worker in March 2015. Over time, she was gradually promoted to Lead Support Worker and then Deputy Manager. Following this, in November 2020, she became the Day-to-day Manager of Hall Bank Mews, with Jess Hammond as Registered Manager.

Speaking to Kirsty following her interview, she said “A lot of research went into preparing for the interview. It helped that I have been a Day-to-day Manager for over a year and had the experience of running a home”.

On asking her how she feels now she has her registration, she said “Relieved to say the least, the interview went really well, and I am proud of myself for finally going for it. I have a great team behind me that support me.”

Kirsty believes her dedication, hard work and always striving to be the best she can be to support the residents in reaching their dreams and aspirations, is what has made her successful in her career.

We also asked Kirsty who has inspired her in her career. She said “Jessica Hammond has supported me a lot throughout my time at CCL and has pushed me out of my comfort zone which has allowed me to grow and gain confidence. Also, seeing the residents at Hall Bank Mews gain new skills and thrive daily is very heart-warming.”

Kirsty added “I have enjoyed my time so far at CCL and I look forward to the future and supporting the residents and staff at Hall Bank Mews.”

On behalf of CCL, a huge well done and thank you to Kirsty for your years of dedication! Congratulations!
