The Orchard, one of our high quality homes in Wem, hosted a Children in Need Event this month to raise money for this fantastic charity.
Children in Need is a UK charity, organised by the BBC. Each year the charity raises money to help disadvantaged children and young people in the UK, with a vision to ensure that every child is safe, happy, secure and has the chance to reach their potential.
The Orchard decided that this year they would host a Pyjama Party to raise money for Children in Need and provided a feast of party food for the residents to enjoy. The event was also enjoyed by residents from additional CCL schemes, with Church View and Walford Lodge joining in the fun of the day.
The registered manager of The Orchard, Donna Shrimpton, said “It has been fantastic for all the residents to dress up together in their pyjamas and catch up with friends. They have all had a great day and it was lovely to be able to raise money for a worthwhile charity at the same time”.
